two complete assemblies - CCW Pipe Spools - Elbows
The main job of the Pipe Line is to supply Sea Water to condensers, being used to cool down temperatures of
Natural Gas Compressors for Gas Turbines.

The Pipe Spools & Elbows were being badly eroded / corroded from the inside which resulted in pinholes occurring on the surface.
The Power Station wanted to protect these strategically important parts against Erosion / Corrosion.
This is where Unique Polymer Systems LTD steps in.
Unique Solution

All Spools & Elbows were Grit Blasted to Sa2½, 75 micron profile. All surfaces were cleaned using UPS TAC 883 Universal Cleaner.
The badly damaged and pitted areas were rebuilt using UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste or UPS 200 EG Ceramic Repair Paste.
The areas which required machining down to orginal dimensions after rebuilding were built with UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste
due to its machinable characteristics.
Once ready, the surfaces were then coated with UPS 205 FG Fluid Grade Ceramic or UPS 210 CR Efficiency Ceramic.
