Bow Rebuild
UK Shipyard
Unique approved site applicator was approached to carry out repair in Ship Repair Yard. The bow surface was eroded in many different areas, and required rebuilding and coating.

Surface Preparation
The surface was Abrasive Blast Cleaned to Sa 2 1/2, 50- 70 micron profile using an Angular Abrasive
Application
Tents were erected around the repair areas and heaters were put into place UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste was used to rebuild the surface profile, and then the material was allowed to cure for 6 hours.
Once the over coating was reached, 2 coats of UPS 205 FG Fluid Grade Ceramic were applied to repaired area.
Project Completion
The repair was completed on time and within the budget. The resurfaced area are to be inspected annually.
