These machines are much faster, offer more flexibility, deliver far better results and are more user-friendly compared to scaling hammers, flexible shaft scalars etc. With proper use can create a near ‘Girt Blasted’ profile.

The UPS MiniBlaster is ideal for spot scaling (horizontal and vertical), along welds, around flanges and have proven to be very efficient for ballast tank maintenance, also ideal for creating a feathered edge on overlap areas of paint. Designed to achieve a profile surface of approximately 50 microns (2mils) with a surface cleanliness of ST 3+++.

It can be used on steel, non-ferrous metals, plastic, epoxy coatings and even rubber to create an anchor profile at a speed of approximately 100cm2 per minute. These units require very little maintenance, the Steel Belts being the main consumable part when the steel is fully worn simply replace it with a new one without the need to repair it – simple and cost effective.
