Pump Repair & Refurbishment
A Unique Polymer Systems LTD Distributor recently completed a Repair & Refurbishment application for two complete assemblies
- CCW Centrifugal Pumps in a major power station.

The main job of the CCW Centrifugal Pumps is to supply Sea Water to condensers being used to cool down temperatures of Natural Gas Compressors for Gas Turbines.

Service Temperature: Ambient
Service Pressure: 4 to 5 bar

The Power Station wanted to protect these strategically important pumps against Erosion / Corrosion. This is where Unique Polymer Systems LTD steps in.
The Unique Solution
The affected areas were blast cleaned using angled grit to Sa2½, 75 micron profile.
All surfaces were cleaned using UPS TAC 883 Universal Cleaner.
The badly damaged and pitted areas were rebuilt using UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste or UPS 200 EG Ceramic Repair Paste.
These areas which required machining down to original dimensions after rebuilding were built with UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste due to its machinable characteristics.
Once ready, the surfaces were then coated with UPS 205 FG Fluid Grade Ceramic or
