Unique approved site applicator was approached to carry out refurbishment work to 24 dock gates
Surface Preparation
​
The 18 meter bearing length is made up of 1.5 m x 1, sections.
Each section was to be aligned within fractions of a millimeter.
​
Each section is bolted into place and sealing using UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste. Each section was then bolted onto a dock gate.
Application
Once the UPS 105 EG Metal Repair has cured, UPS 205 FG Fluid Ceramic was pumped into the void behind the bearing.
The proudct was pumped through pre-determinded holes drilled into bearing.
Project Completion
Once each section was completed the bearing was sanded down to a smooth finish. The project took a total of 5 days to complete
