Condenser End Plates
A Unique Polymer Systems LTD Distributor was approached by a sugar factory in the Fiji Islands with a problem.
​
Corrosion is a common problem with condenser tube sheets. The metal face plate around the stainless steel tubing had corroded and this was causing problems with the sugar fluids.
​
A system was required that would rebuild and protect the metal surfaces.
​
Application Details
The surface was cleaned using a mechanical wire brush and needle gun. All eroded areas were then filled with
UPS 105 EG Metal Repair Paste and the areas were surfaced with UPS 110 FG Fluid Grade Metal
​
This has provided a complete rebuild and repair to the condenser end plates.
